Even setting aside the novelty factor of going to an actual video store in 2017 this place is great. Mostly the greatness comes from the service. The staff is very friendly, very helpful and incredibly informative. They're are even free rentals for kids. We went for the first time on a whim and now is a regular shop.
A nice variety of old and new releases for movies and console games - at times finding opportunities to purchase overstock disks at a very fair price!
People are always friendly. I don't think it's cheap to rent 3 movies compared to Redbox but can get movies sooner than Redbox. New members get coupons
Family Video is a nice place to go to get movies, just like when I was young. But at this location Shelly the manager is the worst manager I have ever seen. My hat is off to whoever can stand working with her. I guess many people can't because I very rarely see the same workers. Like Aaron, Castle and Kelliann they are absolutely amazing! Every time I visit whenever they are there it just makes we want to keep coming back! Guys you are so awesome keep up the great work. With those three people they make it so enjoyable. But Shelly is very very disrespectful. She has no clue how to speak to her staff. Remind you they are adults not children which she does not comprehend. The fact she treats them as such is sad. I wish someone else would be a manager. She has very little compassion nor seems to care about her job. But family video thank you very much for keeping the tradition of going to the movie store alive. Shelly on the other hand needs to take a 40 hour course on respect. The fun atmosphere goes away when Shelly is there.
I like it here but they have employees with attitude problems. I've never seen an employee be as nasty to people as the lady that works nights. I don't know if she has personal problem's at home or what but I've seen her get into shouting matches with customers, given the wrong movies to customers or just plain didn't put the movie back in the case so you have to drive back there to get it. It's crazy, they seem to have a very high turnover rate, so maybe it's something to do with the owner's but she is angry and cold more often than not.
